The news Secu-Tech introduces XPULSE at ETX in Kassel, Germany: a modular system platform for the whole tanker. It is designed to bring metering, safety functions, operation and communication into one workflow. Drivers should be able to follow a delivery from loading to its final record. Fleets should be able to add functions in stages and retain suitable existing vehicle equipment. What is new The platform architecture allows functions to be configured as modules and added over time. A Core Unit combines computing and operation. An XPANSION Unit accepts up to ten plug-in modules, with further units added as required. The operating logic remains consistent across configuration stages. Three configurations are planned: a Core Unit alone, a Core Unit with an XPANSION Unit, and multiple XPANSION Units. Module roles cover power, dispense control, metering, digital inputs and outputs, and interfaces. The legally controlled domain is separated and can be sealed. What the driver sees Five illuminated function keys, an anti-glare 10.1-inch display, day and night modes, and an optional swivel arm. The workflow follows loading, planning and delivery. Fault information is intended to communicate the cause, effect and next safe action. Key sizing follows the MIL-STD-1472 human-engineering standard for heavy gloves. How XPULSE is intended to protect the environment Errors at a transfer point can lead to a wrong-product delivery, contamination or a spill. Guided operation and the staged integration of protection functions address these sources of error. No measured reduction in accidents or spills has been published for XPULSE. German accident statistics show the scale of the environmental consequences: Destatis recorded 1,461 accidents involving substances hazardous to water in 2025. Around 5.9 million litres were released, and about 2.4 million litres could not be recovered. These figures cover accidents during the handling and transport of water-hazardous substances in Germany. Roadmap The roadmap begins with flow metering on tankers, followed by wireless overfill protection, legal-for-trade level monitoring, product-mix protection and theft protection. This is a planned sequence and is subject to change. A series-delivery date has not been announced. Existing Secu-Tech safety systems continue to operate independently. Integration of other installed equipment is assessed for technical and regulatory compatibility. XPULSE will first launch as a road-tanker solution. Implementation for bunkering will follow. Founded in 2004, the company develops systems for liquids and gases. Existing Secu-Tech equipment is in use at more than 5,000 fuel stations, 500 tankers and 500 loading arms.
