SECU Data EX
SECU Data EX is the device variant for wireless measurement data transmission from hazardous areas. Sensor values are captured at the measuring point, digitized and transmitted by radio to a receiver module. This detail page complements the SECU Data system overview.

Application area
SECU Data EX is used when measured values from EX zone 1 or intrinsically safe field circuits need to be transmitted to an evaluation point without a direct galvanic connection. Typical applications include process monitoring, level measurement, temperature measurement and retrofit of existing plants.
Technical characteristics
-
Radio transmission in the 433 MHz range.
-
Transmission of 4 to 20 mA signals, relay contacts, Namur, TRbF and RS232.
-
Range up to 1.5 km, depending on setup and environment.
-
IP 67 for outdoor applications.
-
Automatic channel selection with permanent monitoring of radio status.
-
ATEX certificate TÜV A 06ATEX0008X, classification II 2 G Ex i(a)b IIC T4.
Compatible components
SECU Data EX is planned with receiver, antenna and suitable power supply. For EX applications, a barrier with stable output voltage can be used.
